Mrs. Kimberly Hahn was born on Christmas Eve in 1957, in Pittsburgh, PA, and raised in Cincinnati, OH. She attended Grove City College from 1975-1979, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts, magna cum laude.
On August 18, 1979, Kimberly wed Scott Hahn, a Pittsburgh native and Grove City College grad. While Scott studied to be a pastor, Kimberly earned a Master of Arts in Theological Studies at the same school, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, graduating in May, 1982, magna cum laude.
Kimberly and Scott have been married for thirty-six years, twenty-five of which they have lived in Steubenville. They have six children. Michael is married to Ana (Homol), Gabriel is married to Sarah (Vyvlecka), and Hannah is married to Ben Reinhard. Jeremiah is studying for the priesthood for the Diocese of Steubenville. Joseph is discerning a call as a missionary priest overseas. David is in high school. So far, they have thirteen grandchildren.
Kimberly is the author of five books: Life-Giving Love: Embracing God’s Beautiful Design for Marriage; Chosen and Cherished: Biblical Wisdom for Your Marriage; Graced and Gifted: Biblical Wisdom for the Homemaker’s Heart; Beloved and Blessed: Biblical Wisdom for Family Life; Legacy of Love: Biblical Wisdom for Parenting Teens and Young Adults. She is co-author with her husband of Rome Sweet Home: Our Journey to Catholicism, which has been translated into more than twenty languages. And she is the author of numerous chapters of books and articles.
On November 3, 2015, Kimberly was elected by the people of the City of Steubenville to be Councilwoman-at-Large. She looks forward to serving the people in any way that she can. She sits on the Service, Planning, Transportation and Economic Development Committees of Council.
